Did You Know?

Electric fans cool people, not rooms. They work by blowing cool air across our skin to increase evaporation but do little to decrease heat in an unoccupied room. In fact, they may actually increase temperature because of heat given off by the motor. Try turning on fans when you’re in a room and off when you leave to decrease energy consumption.
